West Essex Ramblers - The Epping Forest Centenary walk - Bank Holiday Monday
(9am start at a road junction near Manor Park station)
11.15am Highams Park Lake boathouse coffee stop
12.30 - 1.15pm lunch near Butlers Retreat, Chingford
4.15 approx finish at Bell Common Epping, (further walk to Epping station )
The Centenary Walk, devised by Harry Bitten of West Essex Ramblers to celebrate the passing of the 1878 Epping Forest Act. Although the whole walk is 15 miles, it is designed with various start and dropping off points so that walkers do as much or little as they want.

COCKFOSTERS STATION, Piccadilly Line, e.g. via Central line to Holborn to change to Piccadilly line. Linear, medium pace walk. Come and enjoy an exciting day out with new paths and nature reserve. No road walking. Finish at Crews Hill, visiting a garden centre for tea together and return from Crews Hill station (main line) for trains into Finsbury Park station for Victoria or Piccadilly lines, or Moorgate Station.
