If it wasn't for this organisation, the Epping Forest HF Group - and thirty-two similar groups elsewhere in the British Isles - would not exist.  HF Holidays Ltd was established in 1913, with the objective of establishing hotels throughout the country purpose-designed to cater for walkers - making available to them prolonged access to wonderful parts of the country which financial constraints might otherwise have prevented them from reaching.   In the earliest days, the accommodation provided by the Holiday Fellowship was rather spartan in nature.  It has now been transformed, however, into something positively luxurious.  (Enthusiastic members of this particular Group, arriving at an HF country house for a week's strenuous walking, discovered at the end of the week that they had actually put on weight rather than shedding it - not quite the outcome expected!)  At this point in time, HF Holidays Ltd owns and runs 17 country houses spread across England, Scotland and Wales.  It is also able to supply accommodation for HF holidays in all parts of the world.  For further information about what it has to offer, you may like to visit its website - www.hfholidays.co.uk As stated elsewhere, however, it is necessary to bear in mind that - while the Epping Forest HF Group is affiliated to HF Holidays Ltd, and its members go on holidays at HF houses - we are an independent body in our own right.
