Journey

All public transport times should be checked beforehand.

NB Unless otherwise stated, walks are usually on a Sunday and start at 10.30am. Most of our walks are leisurely in pace and usually start and end at a London Transport or Overground Station.

22nd L EMBANKMENT STATION, Circle and District lines. London Bridges part 3. Linear amble crossing Thames bridges, exploring Lambeth then heading for Tate Britain for lunch and visit. Returning to end at St James' Park station, District and Circle lines. 4-5 miles

5th C WOODFORD STATION, Snakes Lane exit. Circular walk visiting parks, woods and lakes in Woodford and Redbridge area. PLEASE NOTE ADVICE ON FOOTWEAR, WALK MAY BE MUDDY. 6 miles
12th C THEYDON BOIS STATION. Circular forest walk, hopefully spotting some deer. Dry lunch near Upshire church. 6 miles
19th L GRANGE HILL STATION. Medium pace linear walk including Hainault Country Park with Woodland Sculpture Trail, and Fairlop Country Park. Lunch near cafe in Hainault Country Park, and walk ends at Fairlop Station.. 7 miles
26th L TOWER HILL STATION, District and Circle Lines. Meet at the main exit, by Trinity Square Gardens. Linear riverside walk to Greenwich via Canada Water. ? miles

10th C 11am. CHINGFORD STATION, London Overground. Morning walk only, on Epping Forest Holly Trail, on good paths. 3 miles
17th C THEYDON BOIS STATION. Medium pace circular Forest walk to Upshire and return. Dry lunch near pub. 7 miles
24th . NO WALK TODAY, PERHAPS PUT UP THE DECORATIONS. WE WISH YOU A HAPPY CHRISTMAS. .
31th C EPPING STATION. Circular walk to Copped Hall and return. PLEASE NOTE ADVICE ON FOOTWEAR, WALK MAY BE MUDDY. Dry lunch near the Hall. 5 miles

14th C CHINGFORD STATION London Overground. Morning walk only, Epping Forest Willow Trail, on good paths. 3 miles
21st L EPPING STATION. Linear walk, on the scenic route to Loughton Station. Dry lunch. 7 miles
28th L TOWER HILL STATION, Circle and District Lines. Meet at main exit, by Trinity Square Gardens. Linear walk on Thames Path North to Island Gardens, via the channel behind Tobacco Dock. 5.5 miles
February 2018
4th C EPPING STATION. Circular town and country walk, with early dry lunch in Gernon Bushes Nature Reserve. 5 miles
11th L WESTMINSTER STATION, Jubilee and District Lines. Meet under Big Ben opposite the station, for a linear morning walk and waffle, at slow amble pace, to take a refreshing look at the Corridors of Power and their history in the Westminster and Whitehall area. Wrap up warm. A coffee break will be included, and the walk will end in time for lunch. 2.5 miles
18th C CHINGFORD STATION, London Overground. Medium pace Forest walk to High Beach and return. Dry lunch near pub and kiosk. 7 miles
25th 8 11am CHINGFORD STATION, London Overground. Figure 8 walk or morning walk only, on Epping Forest Willow Trail, 3 miles. Lunch near the Butlers Retreat, then Holly Trail, total 3 or 6 miles back to station. 3/6 miles
