Club
members get together most months at the Quaker Meeting House in
Bush Road, Leytonstone. The range of activities includes
board games, quiz nights, slide shows, music nights and
interesting talks from visiting speakers on local fauna and flora
and local history. Suggestions for further topics of
interest are always welcome. These social evenings are for club members only. Unlike the advertised walks which anyone can attend. If you become a member of the Group, you will be supplied with full details of the latest programme. The evenings start at 7.45 and end two hours later. Tea or coffee is supplied at the midway point. Those attending are requested to pay £2.00 at present as a contribution towards the running expenses. There is also the annual Christmas party, an event which should definitely not to be missed! 2008 was the 70th anniversary of the group and several extra events were organised and attended by members. |
